Ipswich's poor confused midsection, and thus the explanation for the extra arm and tail! The result of a run in with an unlabeled, already operating duplication spell. Unfortunately, a spell in progress doesn't look like anything in particular. It wasn't meant for a living being either and the "clone" tried to kill him as it had no actual mind to speak of. He ended up needing its organs, and it's fused to him now to create this current messed up but unified whole. And that is why hazards must have labels. Or something.

"Howling is an important vocalization that is done with alot of caution. The risk of being heard by humans limits the frequency, but urban-dwelling werewolves can be rarely heard declaring their possession over the limited forested and park areas. It started out as a kangaroo wearing goggles, but it looked so stark I had to draw a background, but then the background didn't make sense so I had to draw a /reason/ for him to be wearing goggles, and it snowballed from there.

Commissioned by Painted Dog for a friend of hers. I'm not totally sure I got all the details right (I know I forgot the earrings D=), but hopefully it's pretty close. Either way, I do really like how it turned out. I usually have a hard time making reds and fire-colors look decent, but this time it worked fairly well. Inked with a brushpen, and probably one of my best results with those. If anyone is interested, I did also scan the inks.

Star (very top), Shadow (you know what I look like :P) and Kodiak (White wolf on left side of tree) are supposed to be hanging like Christmas tree ornaments. Forgot to upload this, sorry late Christmas. Description: Nugget (yellow wolf) and Wuffenite (AKA Wuffy) have apparently become tangled up in Christmas tree lights (Wuffy is clumsy) :P Klondike (fat black/white husky) has fallen from the tree (his rope broke because he was too fat XD ). Yukon (large Alaskan wolf) is looking up from below the tree wondering what on earth everyone is doing up there. XD

A colonial revolutionary crosses a cold,icy river during a frigid winter as he searches for the New World. As I was painting this, I realized how close it is to July 4th, so I was happy for the coincidence, as this was not meant to be a picture for Independence Day. Either way, happy July 4th! :D You didn't know our founding fathers were dogs? :) For the first time in a long time, I am very happy with out this came out. This is the only copy of have of this piece, which makes me very very sad. It was as if I was doomed to never complete this piece from the start. After losing the first version to one of Painter's whims (the program crashed and corrupted the file, and ever since then I have made back ups of every file. Painter 10 does this automatically), I started over with the idea of making it bigger and better. And it was! This was almost done when I left it. Sometime later, the computer suffered a hard drive failure and for some reason, this piece was never recovered. I had changed the legs a bit since this version was saved, finished the wings, and added grass. Urgh. I do want to try this again, some day. If any of you have the almost done web copy that I emailed out, please send it to me!

Okay, a little history. My pal, Tigsie has been down here visiting me for two weeks in West Texas. The first day she flew down... she asked me if it would rain she was here, and I told her no. Because it NEVER rains in Midland. O_O And it has rained almost every day... everywhere we've gone. TIGSIE BROUGHT THE RAIN!!! 8D So I painted a picture so we could always remember it. Sparky-cat says "Whats this wet stuff!?" This is a larger piece that I had to scan in two parts... defiantly one of my better jobs at piecing something together that I had to scan in two pieces. Tigsie belong to herself. Sparky-cat and the art here is mine.

A commissioned mock WWII recruitment poster, featuring Abe the squirrel, who is copyright his player. The poster is based on an actual WWII era poster, visible here: http://www.wwii-collectibles.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/uspaf221.jpg This was a lot of fun for me, because it is a very different graphic style, and it was fun to try to draw the character in the style of the time. Note also that the signature is dated '43 instead of '07 ^.^ Just for fun. Done with ink, acrylics and watercolors on 9"x12" illustration board.

This piece is brought to you by germs in my head. After a bit of late night delirium caused by my head cold, I got up, still pretty sure that I was being followed by my deamon, and sat down to paint. The other day I saw a painting out the corner of my eye in a store of what I thought was something like this, but it wasn't. It was actually a painting of an Indian sitting on a horse with some drippy watercolor. :P Anyway, Vantid is sitting at the edge cause it probably looks pretty cool down there.

This piece still needs some tweaking and some add ons, but is almost finished. I really love circular motifs and enigmatic backdrops with near ethereal creatures. I also like to use words like "enigmatic" and "ethereal". Scintillate is a pretty awesome word that I can't use here. Apparently full blooded wolves do not have blue eyes. I think this creature transcends such earthly bindings like genetic pigmentation. Ha!

More cat, more sushi. Larger than life. Seriosuly, this thing, which will be done as soon as I get my new computer, is huge. The file is half a gig. Working 400 dpi was dumb, but at least I can make ginormous prints. This is the first piece that I have done almost exclusively in Photoshop.

Mordecai, Serafine and Nico. I hadn't done any proper color work with this group yet, so I decided to do a little poster-style illustration involving the three of them. That's not Serafine's usual getup - I suppose she can't pass up the opportunity to get dolled up for a special occasion, though. She's dressed as her personal version of a Voodoo mambo. The image was sketched in pencil and painted with a tablet and Photoshop.
